The buffet breakfast was superb. Only down side was the size of the bedrooms. Very small,limited wardrobe space and tiny shower room.

Top Tip

Went to La Mama restaurant at Rue de la Tour 4 times and very good value situated just off the square by the hotel. Buy a buss pass for one day 4 euros also use on bus from airport. 1 euro to Monaco by bus.

I had read some poor reviews about this hotel, all I can say is thast some people must be hard to please. Apart from the noise from the road works outside everything was fine.When the road works are finished it will be brilliant. Staff were very welcoming, hotel nice and clean, superb breakfast bar again with helpful and friendly staff.

Top Tip

Try the old town for somewhere to eat, happy hours for cheaper drinks. For 1 euro you can tavel to Cannes, Monaco, Grasse etc. Great value. Aroun the city use the tram.

The linen was clean but the room was really small and badly needed to be refurbished (as did the whole hotel) The bathroom was leaking, mouldy and needed a deep clean!! Breakfast was great and the staff were friendly. Location was great for the old town and the port. It was cheap and luckily we were out most of the time except to sleep.

Top Tip

Try the local Socca (pancakes made from chick pea flour) in the old town. Travelling anywhere (Monaco and Cannes) only cost one Euro each way on the local bus from Garre Routiere (the nearest bus station). St Paul de Vence is well worth a visit too!

Do not take a taxi from the airport, we did and got ripped off 43 Euro, take the 98 bus (4 Euro each) and 5 mins walk.

The hotel is a little run down and needs some repairs carrying out. Absolutely fine for a couple of nights, as long as you don't expect too much.

All the bitros in the immediate vacinity are superb!

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel mainly because of its excellent position in Nice.It has very easy access to all areas of city with plenty of choice of eating places nearby.The only disadvantage was the size of the room.We had expected it to be small but it was tiny with 3 beds squashed in leaving little room for 2 adults with even limited luggage.OK for a short stay but not suitable for longer breaks.

Breakfast was excellent especially the freshly sqeezed orange juice

The buses and trains are excellent and I am told we should have gone to St Paul....next time! Villefranche is lovely
