This was a wonderful hotel in a great location. I would certainly us it again. This hotel is right in the heart of Nice close to all amenities. Fab location.

Top Tip

Take a trip over the border to Ventimiglia in Italy about ten mins further on from Monaco.

Breakfast food awful. Shabby, worn decor in room (suite booked). Will never book with Mercure again, and makes me doubious about 'just one hotel' if the company sanctions this hotel. Yep, don't book in this hotel the pool is the only attempt to make this hotel 4 star. Staff at hotel cant be blamed they must get sick of complaints. Whats with the various air line cabin crew its over run by them.

This hotel is in a great location in Nice. It has a great pool area and a car park next door.

after the 1st night we didnt get any milk , i had to find the maid to ask for some, the 3rd night we did get some, they didnt refill the coffee . tea, so bring your own if you like to have a cup every day .sat and sun tea and coffee where served at the table, however on monday you had to serve yourself, no one told you this and the waiters and waitresses seemed keener to clear the plates away whilst you were still eating than help. ask for a room at the back as the dustbins are outside of the front of the hotel and it is noisy when they are emptied.take ear plugs, every time someone flushes the toilet you can hear it.take some hangers as you cannot actually open one half of the wardrobe as the door doesnt go that far so you can only access one half of the wardrobe with your clothes unless you take hangers. There is insufficient drawer space.

Top Tip

buy soft drinks when you go out as they dont bother to re fill the mini bar after you have arrived so if you have drunk it on the 1st night thats it. dont go by car, the car park is not part of the hotel, the lift was broken and we had to carry up our cases two flights of stairs. I did tell them at reception but the receptionist just shrugged.

We stayed at this hotel last year and had booked with GTA. For all we love the hotel, our room last year was far superior. We even commented between ourselves wondering if we had received more value for money with GTA.

Top Tip

Taking the train to Antibes is beautiful. We have travelled to Nice 5 times now and always had a lovely time. Unfortunately this time on our first night I had my handbag snatched. So my advice to anyone travelling is to be on your guard, and dont carry anything valuable around unless you absolutely have to.

Staff were very helpful. The buffet breakfast was excellent. It was good to have a centrally located hotel with a pool and beautiful gardens. It was difficult to find but the staff gave us directions on the mobile.

Top Tip

If you are in Nice for a short space of time I suggest you take the Grand Tour on the bus, it's a good way to see to see a lot of Nice, and you can hop on and off as you please: The Roman baths site at Cimiez was a real hit with our children, and very inexpensive (children are free)
